All terms and conditions outlined below apply to all registrations of OceanPoinye’s online courses
1. Eligibility
You (as Registrant) must be 18 years of age or older to participate in OceanPointe’s Online Course. You will need to have met our admissions requirements, and have sufficient fluency in the English language.
2. Payment / Registration
The fee for the Online Course (the “Fee”) must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registration is not complete until OceanPointe has received such full payment of the Fee. You are responsible for non-payment, even if the Fee is being paid by a third party. After successful registration, you will receive an e-mail from OceanPointe acknowledging your enrollment in the Online Course.
The Fee consists of a $50 Dental Assisting Course registration fee and $300 Course Platform Subscription fee. Courses will be billed in United States Dollars (USD). Accepted payment methods are PayPal, or major credit or debit cards like Visa and Mastercard.
You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information. Submission of your registration, alongside full payment of the Fee constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation by you
Your right to cancel your registration and subscription fees with OceanPointe and obtain a refund depends on the refund policy of the OceanPointe campus you registered for. Please see the Catalog and/or the website online enrollment.
4. Course Content
OceanPointe reserves the right to amend the course and alter details at its discretion.
OceanPointe is not responsible if you fail to meet the Online Course requirements and you should ensure that you allocate sufficient time to allow you to successfully complete the Online Course. All 12 modules must be completed in 4 weeks unless an extsnion is granted by your campus director. In al cases, the 12 modules must be completed prior to attending the 8-week Phase 2 Hands-On training portion of the course.
5. Student Conduct
By continuing to access or use the Online Course and the website oceanpointeonline.com (the “Website”), or any content located via the Online Course and/or on the Website, you signify your acceptance of the below terms. OceanPointe may modify these terms and conditions from time to time.
OceanPointe grants you a limited subscription to access and use the content located via the Online Course and/or on the Website in connection with the Online Course you are enrolled in. As a condition of such license, you agree that:
All materials – including but not limited to text, photographs, video, audio, images and any other content – appearing via the Online Course and/or on the Website are protected by copyrights and/or other licensed proprietary rights belonging to OceanPointe and/or other third parties. You agree to abide by all applicable laws regarding copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights and privacy rights in the US and any other jurisdiction from which you are accessing the Website.
You may not copy, reproduce, duplicate, distribute, disseminate, publish, post, display, perform, modify, create derivative works from, upload to, transmit, or in any way exploit any content from the Online Course and/or on the Website. You may not sell or offer for sale any of the content, or allow third parties to access it, or use such content to construct any kind of database. You may use the content from the Online Course and/or on the Website only for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not share your login access with any other student or anyone else. The logins are carefully monitored and red-flagged if such sharing occurs. Students who share their login will lose their access until such time that they have to repay the registration and course fees again. You agree to maintain the security of any user name and password required for accessing the Online Course. You will notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your username and/or password.
Any violation of these terms may result in your expulsion from the Online Course and/or your OceanPointe school.
OceanPointe reserves the right to remove you from the Online Course and/or the Website if you do not respect these guidelines, OceanPointe staff and/or fellow students.
6. Data Protection
By registering with OceanPointe and by paying the fees, you agree to OceanPointe collecting and using your personal data. This will be done in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and OceanPointe’s Privacy Policy.
7. Technology Requirements
The Online Course is facilitated through an online learning management system. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the proper hardware and software requirements, along with access to Wi-Fi, to be able to participate in the course. You will need to ensure you have the proper technology at the time of registration as will be provided with the registration details.
OceanPointe is not be responsible for any errors or failures in relation to your ability to access the Online Course, the Website or any related materials, including where such errors or failures are caused by: (i) a loss of connection on OceanPointe ‘s or your end; (ii) a breakdown or problems with the online software and/or (iii) a breakdown or problems with your internet connection, computer or system.
8. Miscellaneous
Your contract with OceanPointe and any dispute arising from it (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by and enforced pursuant to the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflicts of law. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of, relating to, or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the breach, termination, interpretation or validity thereof (the “Dispute”) shall be submitted for mediation administered in accordance with the American Arbitration Association’s International Center for Dispute Resolution or its successor (“ICDR”), in accordance with its Mediation Rules. If the Dispute, or any portion of the Dispute, is not settled within 60 days from the date when mediation is initiated, then, except in the circumstances specified below, the Dispute shall be submitted for binding arbitration administered by ICDR in accordance with its International Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be final and binding on all parties involved. Judgment upon the award may be entered by, and enforcement of the award may be sought in any court having jurisdiction over the relevant party or its assets. The arbitration and any proceedings conducted hereunder shall be governed by applicable Oklahoma law, Title 9 (Arbitration) of the United States Code and by the United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards of June 10, 1958 (the “Convention”). The place of any mediation or arbitration shall be Norman, Oklahoma, and the language of any mediation or arbitration shall be English. WE EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO TRIAL BY JURY.
Should a situation arise that is not covered by these Terms and Conditions, OceanPointe reserves the right to take any reasonable and fair action that we think appropriate Should you have any queries on the terms and conditions, please contact the Online Courses Department [email protected]
This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for OceanPointe and oceanpointeonline.com. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to “OceanPointe ” include oceanpointeonline.com.
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE GATHER ABOUT YOU?
We collect information from you when you access OceanPointe and when you subscribe to our online course.
WHAT DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION FOR?
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website by identifying (1) which parts of our site are most heavily used, and (2) which portion of our audience comes from within the OceanPointe network. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that user sessions will be tracked, but the users will remain anonymous.
The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
User information may be shared with third-party partners to the extent necessary to provide and improve web services or other communications to users. Any third parties who receive user information for this purpose are prohibited from using or sharing user information for any purpose other than providing services to users.
We may also provide your information to third parties in circumstances where we believe that doing so is necessary or appropriate to: satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
DEVICE INFORMATION COLLECTED BY US
We may collect non-personal information about the computer, mobile device or other device you use to access OceanPointe, such as IP address, geolocation information, unique device identifiers, browser type, browser language or other information of this nature. We use this information in an aggregate fashion to track access to OceanPointe logins. At no time do we disclose site usage by individual IP addresses. Web server logs are retained on a temporary basis and then deleted from our systems.
COOKIES
Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer (unless you block them). We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

Cookies may be set by an organization other than OceanPointe. EMAIL POLICY
We will not share, sell, rent, swap or authorize any third party to use your email address for commercial purposes without your permission.
INFORMATION PROTECTION
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information we gather about you, we have taken commercially reasonable steps to protect the information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
